Seriously, the editor of the is post has looked at hundreds of Perillo Tours complaints and reviews, and I don’t know if it is just because people tend to say more when they are complaining or if it is because there are more Perillo Tours complaints that kudos.

When I review, for example, Road Scholar Reviews and Complaints, I just don’t see as many complaints.

The main issue with Perillo tours complaints seems to be that to get a lot of good stuff in, you have to go very fast.  Many of the people traveling are a little older, and a hard pace can be hard to take.  So you have to remember that you don’t have to do everything, and to take some time off to relax.  If you don’t you will wear yourself out.

So, now let’s look at the complaint side:

From TripAdvisor:

• Booked a 9 day all-inclusive tour. Florence, Rome, Venice. The daytime tours seemed were too long, too aggressive. One of the tours was supposed to be just in the morning, but it actually lasted till 7:30 PM. We thought that this was going to be a relaxing vacation but it became darn marathon. Thus our Perillos Tours complaints. The two additional days we booked were the best., we during these days we did what we wanted. The actual Perillo trip was pricey we felt in the end. (1)
• Generally tours go from are morning to late afternoon, and you are on a bus and outside the city. Bags go out early in the morning and get on the bus. They take you to the various sights and stop where they want you to go, and they get a cut. Do hope you had some time to take in all the sights and enjoy. (1)
• In Rome, my mother fell during a Perillo tour. She had injuries that were severe and went by ambulance to the hospital. Calling Perillo, I was told that Perillo could not assist me and to work with my travel insurance company. The solution was to fly to Italy to help her, which was not covered by travel insurance and took 3 days to accomplish. (1)
• [Editor note:] The problem on the last Perillo Tours complaint is not really so much that Perillo did not do a good job, but the mother needed to know what to do in the case of an emergency. Anyone who travels should put in place a contingency plan, and always remember that things can happen that are totally unexpected. (1)
• I took a church-related Italy Tour with Perillo Tours in October, 2013. We definitely did see and do a lot, but I though the trip was way too arduous. I am in good shape, at 66, but really it took me a few months to recover. There was a very fast and hard agenda with average or skipped meals. One day, we were left off at a cafeteria in a railroad station for lunch. It was supposed to be about three-quarters of an hour. I had to wait over 30 minutes for a piece of pizza that was hardly edible.(1)

• A while back we went on the Perillo October 2015 Vesuvius Tour. We were hoping to get to a lot of Italy quickly. This tour was perfect, and had everything we wanted arranged. and thins were without worry. Anna, our guide and host was fantastic and well organized. We had a group of 39 and she was interested in everyone, took care of every need. Great narratives during luxury bus trips. The breakfasts were good and lasted till dinner. (1)
