This is a very impressive camera!  There are one “con” to this camera, but honestly, under $200, it is acceptable.  This is an old version of the camera line, but is still definitely available and has much better reviews than it’s successor, the 840.

But if you dig a little deeper, you will find that the this camera does not have a very good customer reviews rating on Amazon, and in fact does not have many customer reviews at all. It only has a 3.4 rating on Amazon, which is low.  with very few reviews, 21 as far as this reviewer can see. Complaints:

• Light and flimsy body casing
• Pictures grainy
• Short battery life (one report of only 50 pictures)
• Wifi usage difficult

So time will tell if the ELPH Canon 350 HS can measure up as the best digital camera under 200.

Now, of course, this may be due to the fact that it is a fairly new model.  Though low-end Canon cameras have been very popular historically, Canon does not have a consistent record in the best point and shoot camera under 200 category.
